Brands of origin

A combination of the terms “superior” and “pima,” Supima® is the trademark name for the world’s finest cotton. Supima is 100% extra-long staple (ELS) cotton grown exclusively in the states of Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas. Its extraordinarily pure and uniform fibre is its most significant characteristic. Iafil is a member of the Supima Organization.

The SEA ISLAND COTTON has a very long fibre cultivated exclusively on the islands of the British West Indies, where the climatic conditions are ideal for growing this kind of cotton. This unique fibre comes from a seed commonly known as ‘Black Seed’ and is produced in limited amounts. Sea Island Cotton quality is guaranteed by an original certificate issued by WISICA, the West Indian Sea Island Cotton Association.

GIZA 45 and GIZA 87 are the best of all EGYPTIAN COTTONS, cultivated only in a small area east of the Nile delta: they are strong, shiny cottons with extraordinarily long fibres, a high degree of uniformity and extreme fineness.

Iafil guarantees the origin of its Giza 45 an Giza 87 yarns with the Egyptian Cotton trademark.
